Salesforce.com on Wednesday announced that the next revision of its hosted customer relationship management product will boast multi-tasking, letting users run multiple on-demand applications simultaneously.
The summer release of Salesforce.com is scheduled for June, said the company, and will feature what the firm's dubbed "Multiforce," a feature that lets users switch between multiple active hosted applications running in the same Salesforce environment.
The move plays off Salesforce.com's sforce development platform, and its push to get developers to use it to create new custom hosted applications.
"Our Summer '05 release will be another major step in what we call the next stage of the on-demand revolution," said Marc Benioff, the chief executive of saleforce.com. "Multiforce represents our commitment to bringing the benefits of on-demand to all areas of the enterprise, and to companies of all sizes."
