Salesforce.com Previews Integration, Customization Tools
2005-04-12 12:30:00
Salesforce.com on Tuesday previewed integration and customization tools for its hosted customer-relationship management software.
The software tools, Sforce Partner Portal Toolkit and Sforce 6.0, will be part of the Salesforce Summer 2005 release, which is scheduled to be introduced in June, officials with the San Francisco-based company said.
The toolkit provides a Java-based Web application for creating partner portals on a company's Web site. The application, which includes all source code, enables companies to manage and share leads, contacts and documents with channel partners.
Sforce 6.0 enables Salesforce.com customers to use web services standards to exchange sales, marketing and customer data with IT systems within their organizations. The upgrade will be available at no charge for customers of Salesforce Enterprise Edition.
