Nsite, WebEx Form Collaborative Technology Partnership
2005-02-24 15:26:00
Nsite announced a partnership with WebEx Communications that will enable customers of both companies to access Nsite collaboration solutions while in WebEx-hosted web conferences, and conversely launch WebEx meetings from within Nsite solutions. The integration will make it possible for conference users to review processes and task assignments managed by Nsite using WebEx technology.
The ability for Nsite users to schedule WebEx meetings directly would, for example, allow a sales representative to request a non-standard pricing for a product and at the same time schedule a meeting with the relevant team to discuss why the pricing presents an important opportunity. Meeting details can be scheduled as part of the request process in Nsite, and the WebEx meeting can be switched into directly from Nsite.
The integration will also allow WebEx users to populate an action-item list during an online meeting so that attendees can keep track of activities to be performed at the conclusion of the event. The action-item list is actually an Nsite application that collects the relevant information. When ready, the meeting host initiates a routing of the action-item list to the designated recipients, and following that the status of listed activities can be tracked across the enterprise using Nsite.
