Fortress Builds Online Archiving

Image Fortress Corp. has unveiled an online archiving service for government and corporate customers that need long-term preservation and management of digital records.
Image Fortress said DigitalFortress is a Web-based records management and archiving service that lets customers store, search and preserve organizational data and records. The secure, automated service easily integrates into an enterprise's existing IT environment and ensures compliance with records retention regulations without additional hardware, software or staff, Image Fortress claimed.
By providing quick and easy access to essential records through a standard web-services interface, DigitalFortress decreases the time spent locating information and significantly lowers long-term records storage costs.
"Storing critical information with an independent third party not only mitigates the cost associated with an in-house storage system, but it also ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines," said Brian Babineau, an analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group, in a statement.
DigitalFortress pricing starts at $500 a month and is available now.
