Ask Jeeves Inc. on Monday added features to MyJeeves, including a toolbar for accessing components of the personalized-search engine through a browser.
MyJeeves, which is still in beta, lets users manage pages found on the web by organizing them into folders and also lets users save search queries and results.
The new features include a toolbar for the Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers, officials with the Oakland, Calif., company said. The application enables a user to sign into MyJeeves, save pages directly to a folder and navigate to specific folders. In addition, users can save portions of web pages, and web mail users can also save links contained in emails.
The upgrade also has better support for images, which can be saved by right-clicking on an image file on the web, or selecting "save" on the search results page in Ask Jeeves Picture Search. Thumbnail views of images are also available.
MyJeeves now supports hierarchical folders, which are organized in a tree structure up to seven folders deep.
