Interwoven Weaves LiveSite For Regular 'Joes'

Interwoven on Tuesday debuted LiveSite Content Publishing Server, Web site publishing software designed to put site updating and routine maintenance chores in the hands of Joe/Jane Doe business user.
To build a new site or add on to an existing one, users can call on pre-set components and templates -- which can be controlled centrally by IT -- or use the software's drag-and-drop WYSIWYG features to assemble and customize a site from almost-scratch.
Users can also modify pages while they're browsing -- if they notice an error or see a spot where an update is necessary, for instance -- without having to launch a separate content editing or management interface.
Company administrators, of course, have the power to assign site creation or modification privileges, and are in charge of managing the central libraries of templates and page components.
LiveSite is integrated with Interwoven's TeamSite Web Content Management Server, allowing single-source management of both design or IT staff-made sites as well as those built or maintained by the rank and file.
