Host Color (hostcolor.com), a Houston based web hosting company has released the first version of its new hosting Control Panel - Next Color. It will be used to manage servers and accounts in their new data center.

Next Color (nextcolor.com) is a feature rich sofware for Linux/Unix web server management with web based interface.

The control panel is structured on two levers: Server administrator and Site Administrator. It supports Perl and PHP scripts , as well as MySQL databases which can be managed via your scripts or a PHP interface. A planned improvement is the inclusion of Python scripting.

Users can also use POP3/SMTP e-mail via an e-mail client such as Outlook
Express, or to use the free improved Web mail interface (of the type Yahoo and Hotmail offer). The new web mail interface is IlohaMail.

Next Color also enables the web site owners to create and manage their own subdomains of the type (subdomain.domain.com) where domain.com is your main hosted site.
